Bulgarian state-owned gas supplier Bulgargaz has proposed a lower wholesale natural gas price for August 2025. The suggested price is around 31.2 euros/MWh, which is 1.77% lower than the approved August price of about 31.7 euros/MWh. That price already represented a 3.8% decrease compared to July.
The final price for natural gas in September will be set by the Commission for Energy and Water Regulation (KEVR) on the first day of the month. This decision will follow an update of Bulgargaz’s proposal to reflect current market conditions and a public discussion scheduled for the end of September.
