According to the Bulgarian National Statistical Institute, electricity production in October 2025 increased by 8.1% compared to September, reaching 3,175 GWh, while electricity consumption rose even more sharply by 23.6%, amounting to 2,940 GWh. On an annual basis, production was up 9.3%, and consumption grew by 12.7% compared to October 2024.
Natural gas consumption in October 2025 climbed 29.6% month-on-month, totaling 232 million cubic meters, while production remained unchanged at 1 million cubic meters. Year-over-year, consumption increased by 5.9% compared to October 2024.
Fuel sectors showed varied trends. Unleaded petrol production fell by 8% to 138,000 tons, and consumption declined by 13.4% to 58,000 tons. Diesel production dipped by 4% to 267,000 tons, yet diesel consumption grew by 6.2%, reaching 257,000 tons. LPG consumption decreased by 2.9% to 34,000 tons, while LPG production dropped sharply by 16.7%, amounting to 5,000 tons.
