Bulgaria’s state-owned gas supplier Bulgargaz has proposed an increase in the wholesale natural gas price for November 2025. The suggested price is around 33.7 euros per megawatt-hour, representing a 7.88 percent rise compared to October’s approved price of about 31.2 euros per megawatt-hour, which itself was around 1 percent higher than in September.
The company explained that the proposed hike is primarily due to growing demand at the start of the heating season. Customer orders for November have increased by roughly 900,000 MWh compared to October, reducing the share of cheaper Azerbaijani gas in the overall supply mix.
Bulgargaz CEO Veselin Sinabov stated that scheduled LNG deliveries are currently being unloaded at the Alexandroupoli terminal in Greece. He added that gas prices are expected to remain relatively stable in the coming months, staying close to the projected November level.
The final gas price for November will be determined by the Commission for Energy and Water Regulation (KEVR) on the first day of the month, after Bulgargaz updates its proposal based on current market conditions and the outcome of a public consultation held at the end of October.
