A total of 2,611,971.3 MWh of electricity was traded on the day-ahead market of IBEX in December 2025, representing a 9.4% increase compared to November. The average daily traded volume reached 84,257.1 MWh, although total monthly volume was still 3% lower year-on-year.
The average baseload price in December stood at €117.25/MWh, down 3.5% from November, while the average peak price declined by 4.6% to €130.83/MWh. The number of registered participants on the day-ahead market increased to 147, two more than in the previous month.
On the intraday continuous market, trading activity also strengthened, with a total volume of 617,690.3 MWh, up 12.4% month-on-month. The average weighted intraday price eased slightly to €124.58/MWh, a 0.7% decrease.
This was the highest monthly intraday volume recorded so far, exceeding the previous record from October 2025 by around 5%, confirming continued growth in short-term power trading on the Bulgarian exchange.
