According to short-term energy statistics published by the Croatian Bureau of Statistics, net electricity production in Croatia in October 2025 reached 1,097 GWh, marking a 16.6% decline compared to October 2024, when production amounted to 1,315 GWh.
During October, hydropower plants generated 222 GWh (20.2% of total production), thermal power plants produced 379 GWh (34.5%), wind farms contributed 335 GWh (30.5%), and solar power plants added 84 GWh (7.7%).
Electricity imports increased by 14.4% year-on-year, totaling 1,032 GWh, while exports fell by 21.2%, standing at 584 GWh compared to 741 GWh in October 2024.
Regarding hydrocarbon production, Croatia produced 63 million cubic meters of natural gas, 11.3% less than the previous October, while natural gas imports decreased by 28.3%, reaching 165 million cubic meters. Crude oil production stood at 40,000 tons, a 2.4% decline compared to last year, whereas petroleum product production increased to 321,000 tons from 302,000 tons in October 2024.
