Italian renewable energy producer Alerion Clean Power has received a permit to build two wind farms in Romania with an installed capacity of 220 MW.
The two plants will be installed in the Dobrogea region, with capacities of 114 MW and 108 MW, respectively. They will be part of a larger complex of three wind farms with a combined capacity of 336 MW.
The two wind parks should become operational in 2027.
Alerion said it has started work on the executive design of the wind parks and a 400/110-kV network station. It expects to secure authorization for the construction of the third project in the portfolio by the end of this year.
Once fully commissioned, the three wind parks will have a combined annual output of 1,100 GWh, with an expected annual gross operating margin of about 85 million euros.
