Verbund Green Power has taken a major step toward scaling up its European wind portfolio by formalizing a long-term cooperation with the Nordex Group, establishing a framework that could support the delivery of up to 700 MW of new onshore wind capacity through the remainder of the decade.
The agreement outlines the conditions under which Nordex may supply up to 105 wind turbines for projects developed by Verbund Green Power in six priority markets: Austria, Germany, Spain, Italy, Romania, and Albania. The framework is set to remain in place until 2030, providing flexibility as projects advance from development to execution.
If fully realized, the capacity covered by the arrangement would represent roughly half of Verbund Green Power’s current wind development pipeline, though actual deliveries will depend on project approvals, final commercial terms, and standard contractual conditions.
Verbund Green Power currently operates more than 1.2 GW of renewable generation capacity across Europe and continues to advance multiple projects under construction, alongside a broad pipeline aimed at accelerating growth in wind and other clean energy technologies.
