Power utility Elektroprivreda BiH has proposed a linear increase in electricity prices to the Regulatory Commission for Energy (FERK) after the regulator declined an earlier proposal for the introduction of tiered electricity pricing.
Following the review of the rejected price model, EPBiH has proposed a linear increase of 10% for households and an 8.1% increase for other types of consumption at 0.4 kV, covering both energy and network fees, Elektroprivreda BiH said in a press release.
To preserve the integrity of the energy system, given the urgency of the situation, Elektroprivreda BiH considers it necessary to act immediately to ensure the operational stability of the system, and thus the continuous supply of electricity to all customers, the company said.
